My experience and skills
I am a freelance personal assistant based in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire and can work either remotely or on site. I offer a flexible, friendly, reliable and professional PA / VA service. I'm highly organised and efficient, able to work accurately under pressure and multi-task whilst providing you with the highest level of service.
I possess a good business knowledge, having owned and operated my own small businesses as well as gaining a wealth of experience in a wide range of responsible positions. I have worked full time in office / admin for over 30 years in a variety of roles including the Metropolitan Police, home security and leisure.
In 1998 I moved to Greece working as joint base manager for a yachting holiday company and went on to start a yacht charter company of my own in 2000 and then, alongside this, a yacht sales brokerage. Operating these two busy and successful businesses was very hands on and covered every aspect of the business decision making as well as the associated day to day admin. Additional tasks included dealing directly with clients, liaising with numerous third parties, preparing sales contracts, organising holiday bookings and designing company advertisements etc. I am very proud of my track record in this regard and the thorough understanding of business principles that this has given me.
After returning to the UK in 2015, I worked for a marine engineering company on the south coast as their office administrator / book keeper - a role which required a good 'all rounder' responsible for day to day handling of company accounts and administration, including invoicing, sales and purchase ledger, VAT returns, payroll, HR matters etc.
Having run my own small businesses, I understand that sometimes there just isn't enough time to keep on top of all the essential tasks, and that this eats into your precious personal time. Over the years I have developed a broad range of skills that can be really beneficial to small businesses and busy professionals, and which can free you up to concentrate on your products and services while I handle the rest!
